Aircraft Flight Manuals/POH

Postby RakiuraSkies » 09 Feb 2009, 23:14

I know I have mentioned this before, but I really feel that once again, the industry is going to have to have aircraft specific flight manuals mandated by the regulator, sometime in the future. The generic manuals supplied by the manufacturers for a whole family of aircraft currently in use are not cutting the mustard now and obviously as newer, better avionics, engine systems and airframe add-ons become more prevalent and accepted, those manuals are constantly falling further behind. Anyone with a developed alternative, easily adapted to the changes made to a specific airframe will be in a sweet position.

Money to be made ;)

Big job but...

Have just started the process of developing my 1st Aircraft Specific AFM/Information Manual for an Aerostar 600! Would be gratefully interested in any tips anyone can offer. Taking her for a burl on Sunday :good:

Watch this space -I'll post details when the completed electronic version of the manual is available. Would certainly appreciate a few of you having a browse thru it and offering thoughts and criticsms.

Unfortunately due to the recent sale of the Aerostar 600 (and return of the original document to the aircraft) this process can no longer proceed.

So, I'm on the hunt for a new project!
