EMT Course

I recently completed an Emergency Manouvres Training (EMT) course with Phil Unicomb of Action Aerobatics. Based at Maitland Airport (YMND) in the NSW Hunter Valley, the course involves very comprehensive briefings on all the scenarios and manouvres you will be training for and about 5 hours in a Pitts S2A.
I can't recommend this training highly enough. It's an absolute eye-opener. Personally I'm of the opinion that this training should be a compulsory part of the CPL training syllabus and at the very least strongly recommended for PPL candidates. There is no question that knowledge and experience of these manouvres and recovery techniques will save lives.
There are several organisations around Australia that offer EMT training. A listing of some of these may be found in the Check & Training section of our Directory, which does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation for any of those so listed. The quality of the training offered may vary from place-to-place, as may the costs and time required to complete the course. Do your research before committing to a course!
